Thomas Stöhr is a highly respected cello maker based in Germany. He founded Stöhr Cellos, a workshop that produces exceptional instruments using traditional techniques and modern innovations.

He uses only the finest materials, including aged spruce and maple heritage of his father which was wood merchant until 1999. Thomas employs time-honored techniques such as hand carving and varnishing to produce instruments that are both aesthetically pleasing and capable of producing exceptional sound quality.

His dedication to quality has earned him numerous awards and honors including the German musical instrument award of 2023.

Today, Stöhr Cellos are highly sought after by musicians around the world.
